The Rudyard Bulldogs varsity girls’ basketball team improved to 3-1 in the Eastern Upper Peninsula Conference, as they defeated the Engadine Eagles, 50-41, on Tuesday night in Engadine. Rudyard (3-3) will be home to Pickford on Thursday night. You can hear that game on the EUP Game of the Week with Matt Pocket, on Country 105. Engadine (3-3) is home to Pickford on Friday.
Newberry earned their second win of the year in girls’ basketball on Tuesday night, as they knocked off Brimley, 66-44. Newberry (2-6) is at Rudyard on Monday, March 1. Brimley (0-3) hosts DeTour on Thursday. DeTour (0-4) fell at Mackinaw City on Tuesday, 56-13.
St. Ignace (4-2) will host Rogers City on Wednesday night in girls’ basketball.
The Brimley Bays earned a 71-50 win over Harbor Light Christian in boys’ basketball from Tuesday night. Brimley (2-3) is at DeTour on Friday.
