Barbara Lynn Recla, age 79, a beloved member of the Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, community, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2026, at the Ball Hospice House in Sault Ste. Marie surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on July 4, 1947, in Crystal Falls, Michigan, to Everett and Blanche (Willard) Berg.

Barbara shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband of sixty years, Tom Recla.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Tom; daughter, Cynthia (Terry) Reasoner of Traverse City, Michigan; son, Richard (Dawn) Recla of Brimley, Michigan; grandchildren, Alyssa Rae Recla of Sault Ste. Marie, Nathan Richard Recla of Brimley, and Logan Catherine Reasoner of Traverse City; siblings, Joan Alexa, Joyce (James) Jauquet, Carol (Marvin) Driedric, Richard (Sandy Jensen) Berg, and Robert (Teri) Berg; many nieces, nephews, and close friends; and her adored grandpups, Sadie and Finley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Blanche; sister and brother-in-law, Irma (Robert) Wiley; and brother-in-law, Ponch Alexa.

In accordance to Barbara’s wishes, there will be no service.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Ball Hospice House where she spent her final days surrounded by love and care, 308 W. 12th Ave., Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783.
