SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be performing maintenance on the I-75 Business Spur (BS) bridge over I-75 in Sault Ste. Marie, requiring traffic signal changes on the bridge beginning Monday, July 20.
Work will be completed from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night. The work is expected to be completed by Wednesday morning, July 22, but may extend to Thursday, July 23, depending on the weather.
Motorists should expect one lane of alternating traffic open on I-75 BS with temporary traffic signals. The existing ramp signals will be placed in flash mode. A 12-foot lane width restriction will be in place on the bridge during the work.
This project will help ensure continued safe and reliable operation of the roadway.
