Harold Stockfisch

Harold Allan “Harry” Stockfisch, age 80, of Kinross, MI passed away July 22, 2022, at his home.

Harry was born on January 27, 1942, in Traverse City, MI to the late Carl and Arvilla (Spencer) Stockfisch. He was a graduate of Traverse City Senior High with the class of 1960. He went on to earn his master’s degree from Ferris State University. Harry owned the Detwiler Drug Stores in Traverse City. Later he worked at Arfstrom’s in Cedarville, MI and he retired from the Sault Tribe Health Services.

Harry was a member of the Cedarville Lions Club, Habitat for Humanity, and the United Methodist Church in St Ignace where he was a lay speaker. He enjoyed deer hunting, camping, flying (private pilot) and boating. He was a great cribbage player.

Harry is survived by his children: Brian (Mary) Stockfish of Clio, MI, and Heidi (Dwight) Erickson of Kinross, MI; and four grandchildren: Christopher Stockfisch, Jack (Jenna) Stockfisch, Grace Stockfisch, and Samantha Stockfisch. He is also survived by his brother: John (Diane) Stockfisch of Traverse City, MI.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Jane (Cook) Stockfisch, whom he married on August 24, 1963, in Cadillac, MI; a son: Kenneth Stockfisch, and a brother: Dave Stockfisch

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the St. Ignace United Methodist Church. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Kingsley, MI.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be left to the St Ignace United Methodist Church.
