SAULT STE. MARIE — Short, but sweet. The Sault Ste. Marie hockey team picked up its first win of the season, defeating Cheboygan on Wednesday, 2-1. Jory Homminga scored the game-winning goal for the Blue Devils.
Sault Ste. Marie will next play at Gaylord on Saturday, while Chebogyan will play at Petoskey on Friday.
