Join us as we celebrate Roy Spencer, a 1973 Sault High graduate recognized worldwide as a leading climatologist. From his roots at Sault High to groundbreaking work in space research and climate science, Roy’s achievements represent the very best of Blue Devil pride.

Highlights of Roy’s Distinguished Career:

Space & Satellite Research: Worked with NASA, served on the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) team that landed the Mars Rover, and contributes to the Aqua Weather Satellite team.

Global Expertise: Traveled to Japan to assist their space program and has presented research before both the U.S. Congress and the Finnish Parliament.

Best-Selling Author: Written several books on climate change, including his New York Times top-ten bestseller, Climate Confusion.

Current Work: Serves as a Principal Research Scientist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
