STALWART, MICHIGAN — The Stalwart Fair is proud to announce the celebration of the 120th Anniversary of the Stalwart Fair, taking place this summer in the heart of Michigan’s Eastern Upper Peninsula.

For generations, the Stalwart Fair has brought together families, farmers, exhibitors, horsemen, local businesses, and visitors for a true hometown fair experience rooted in agriculture, community pride, and tradition.

Originally organized in 1905 as The Stalwart Grange Fair, the event was reorganized in 1911 as the Stalwart Agricultural Society and has continued to evolve while maintaining the same community-centered spirit that has made it a treasured EUP tradition.

While 2026 marks the fair’s 120th celebration year, organizers note the fair would traditionally be celebrating its 121st year. The annual event was paused in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, making this summer’s fair an especially meaningful milestone for the community and generations of families who have supported the tradition over the years.

Fair organizers say this year’s celebration will blend longtime favorite events with special anniversary recognition honoring the fair’s deep agricultural and family heritage.

A Fair Built by Community
The Stalwart Fair continues to thrive thanks to dedicated volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors, and generations of families who have supported the event year after year. “Stalwart Fair has always been more than just an event — it’s a tradition that brings generations of families, farmers, exhibitors, and community members together,” said Marc Johnson, Fair Board President. “Celebrating 120 years is a tremendous milestone, and we’re proud to continue preserving the heritage and community spirit that make this fair so special.”
