Wayne State was able to pull ahead, but Metz continued to fire away on her way to eight first-quarter points. Grace Bradford (Maple City, Mich.), Amanda Roach (Hartland, Mich.), and Maddie Bradford (Maple City, Mich.) would each hit a three in the second quarter, but the Lakers found themselves trailing at the halftime break nonetheless.

The Lakers continued to battle in the second half. However, despite nine fourth-quarter points from Taylor Stacy (Toledo, Ohio.), the Warriors were able to continue to press ahead to secure the victory.

Metz led the Lakers in scoring with 12 points on the night while Roach also finished with double-figures with 10. Meanwhile, Grace Bradford led all players in rebounding with 14 while also blocking a pair of shots on the defensive end.
