Sault Ste. Marie authorities investigate consecutive house fires, three cats rescued

CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) — Investigators are looking into the cause of two house fires in Sault Ste. Marie.

Sault fire responded to two separate consecutive fires Saturday.

Crews were clearing the first fire on Johnston Street when they were called to the second fire on Sherman Park Drive.

We’re told everyone escaped unharmed.

Three cats were rescued from the fire on Johnston Street.
