Keeping The Piece Quilters Guild to hold annual show in September

The Keeping the Piece Quilters Guild will be holding their annual quilt show on Saturday, September 23 from 10 am to 5 pm, and again on Sunday, September 24 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Sault Area Middle School, located at 684 Marquette Avenue, Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan.

This year’s 2023 Flying Geese Quilt Show will showcase the members’ quilting skills, as well as bring out the individual’s style, and color choices.  The Guild is excited to be celebrating their 30th year this year!   Members were challenged to create a wall hanging with “30” being the focal point.  There will be a special section that displays their creativity for this challenge.   At 1:00 pm each day, Guild Member Anne Hodgkins will present a Vintage and Antique Quilts Bed Turning.

Vendors will be there to help build your stash of fabric, because you can never have enough.  We will hold a Chinese Raffle with many prizes donated by our members.  There will also be a boutique where you can shop for items created by our quilters or pick up some supplies to create your own projects.

Wishing you had a handmade quilt? Well don’t miss out on the chance to buy a ticket or two for the two beautiful quilts, made by some of our Keeping the Piece Quilters Guild Members, that will be raffled off.  They are gorgeous! Sit for a spell at our tearoom and visit with old and new friends and enjoy a bite to eat.  General admission to the show is $5.00.   Save the date, call a friend or two, and make a day of touring the showcase of quilts our members will have on display.
