GREENLAND, MI – A woman is injured and a man is dead after a reported gunshot and domestic incident in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, police said.
Ontonagon County Sheriff’s deputies responded around 5 p.m. Saturday to a reported gunshot injury in the 600 block of Depot Street in Greenland.
A 51-year-old woman was transported from the scene for medical treatment; her condition was not released. The suspect shooter was found dead in a vehicle on a nearby property; authorities believe he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The victim and suspect were in a domestic relationship, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
