On Wednesday, the Dafter Fire Department and the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a multi-car accident on M-28 near Soo LIne Rd.
When emergency vehicles arrived, they were met with white-out conditions and the road was blocked due to a 9-car pile up. In all, six persons were transported to MyMichigan Emergency Room for treatment.
Dafter Fire credited Chippewa County Central Dispatch with their professionalism in handling the communications.
