Heather Lamb awarded Central Savings Bank Scholarship with LSSU

Mark Savoie, CEO and President of Central Savings Bank is proud to announce Heather Lamb as the recipient of the Central Savings Bank Scholarship with Lake Superior State University. Heather, a St. Ignace native, graduated from Lasalle High School in May of 2020 with a GPA of 4.080 and has continued to flourish, making the Dean’s list at both LSSU and St. Norbert College. Currently studying Business Administration‐Management, she is the Captain of the Women’s D2 Club Hockey Team, which earned her the top spot, ranked #1 defenseman in the country in points.

Savoie, who was the 1992‐93 scholarship winner, said “It was an honor to award this scholarship to Heather who excels both in the classroom and on the ice. We wish her all the best.”

Heather, “honored to be the recipient, is very grateful for the opportunity CSB has given her, leaving her
wanting to give back to the local community that allowed her to further her education. When I found out
about the scholarship, I knew it was an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up,” stated Lamb.

The annual scholarship, which may have a value up to full tuition, was established to support students who graduate from Michigan’s EUP and The Algoma District of Ontario, Canada. To be eligible, the student be full time, at least a sophomore (26 credits) majoring in a LSSU School of Business program, taken at least two (2) 300 level courses in Finance, Economics, or Accounting and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
