On April 2, 2022, Maurice William Davis died peacefully at War Memorial Hospital in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan. He was 81.
Maurice “Moe” is survived by his only daughter, Amy Davis; his grandson; and sister Dorothy Burrows; and brother James Davis.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Molly Marriott of the Soo, and his brother Lyle Davis. Moe was born on April 22, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan.
He married his college sweetheart Molly in 1968 in the Soo. They welcomed their only child Amy in 1972 in Denver. Moe worked in construction and land development in Colorado. He endured a paralyzing accident on the job in 1979 and became known for his persevering independent spirit for decades. He inspired everyone with whom he crossed paths.
No service is immediately planned. Family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled during the summer. Clark Hovie Galer Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
