William “Bill” Howard Schroeder, age 79, of Hessel, Michigan, died at Evergreen Living Center in St. Ignace, Michigan, on February 26, 2022. He was born on March 25, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to parents Howard Bernard and Ruth Helen (Zemke) Schroeder.
Bill spent his youth in Wisconsin and attended Wauwatosa High School where he met his high school sweetheart, Linda Dorothy (Klein) Schroeder. The couple married in 1978 and made their home in Delafield, Wisconsin. Later they moved to Carney, Michigan and then to Hessel, Michigan, where they both worked for the Department of Natural Resources Fisheries Division. They spent 58 wonderful years together until Linda’s passing in 2021.
Bill is survived by his sister, Karen (John) Truebenbach; three nieces; brothers-in-law, John (LeAnn) Klein and Jerry Klein and great friend, Brian LeFevre.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ruth, and wife, Linda.
Bill will be laid to rest with his loving wife at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin, Wisconsin.
