Rose Marie Francis Smolen, 85, of Sault Ste. Marie, MI passed away Friday March 11, 2022 in Rudyard, MI. She was born March 29, 1936 in Detroit, MI to Antonio and Antonette (Savino) Scamazzo.
Rose enjoyed bingo and playing board games with her family. She also loved to visit with friends and family.
Rose is survived by her sons, Thomas Mark (Linda) Smolen, Jr. and Steven Craig (Brenda) Smolen; daughters, Christine Marie (Edward) Williams and Diana Jean (Victor) Kellar; brothers, Frank (Barb) Scamazzo and Joe (Carol) Scamazzo; grandchildren, Michael Williams, Violet Krupp, and Rose Chmielewski; great grandchildren, Julia, Mike, Jr., Ace, Skylar, Billy, Jr., and Danielle; and great great grandchildren, Claire and Isacc.
Rose is predeceased by her parents; husband, Thomas Mark Smolen in 2014; sisters, Grace Panzica and Frances Bates.
Per Rose’s wishes cremation has taken place. Clark Hovie Galer Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
