Grace Lillian Solberg

Grace Lillian Solberg, age 88, of Sault Ste. Marie, MI passed away on Tuesday March 15, 2022, at War Memorial Hospital.

Grace was born in Sault Ste. Marie, MI on October 19, 1933, daughter of the late Otto and Cecilia (Jondreau) Krull. She graduated from Sault High School. She was married to Arthur W. Solberg. From 1995-2014 see worked as a cook at Chum’s Café in Bay Mills. Grace enjoyed going to the casino and playing cards with friends. She loved to spend time with her grandkids. When she passed away, she was the eldest female tribal member of Bay Mills Indian Community. Grace enjoyed her time over the last few years living at Hearthside Assisted Living.

Grace is survived by two children: Gail Glezen of Sault Ste. Marie, MI and Mark (Diane) Solberg of Dania Beach, FL; 8 grandchildren: Jennifer, Katie, Andy, Abby, Wendy, Stefanie, Melissa, and Kelly; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son-in-law: Steven Glezen; 7 brothers: Floyd Cook, Clayton Cook, Ronald Krull, Bernard Krull, Albert Krull, Roy Krull, and Otto Krull, Jr.; and 6 sisters: Lorretta Key, Betty Willis, Mildred McKelvie, Ethel Parks, Cecilia Belanger, and Madge Schmitt.
