Roy Chester Perrault, age 59, passed away at Mackinac Straits Hospital in Saint Ignace, Michigan, on December 27, 2021. He was born in Saint Ignace on October 28, 1962, to parents, William Sr. and Carlean (Fisher) Perrault.
At birth, Roy was the fifth born out of eight siblings. He was a member of the Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. He served four years in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1984. He worked on Mackinac Island for the City of Mackinac Island as a street sweeper until the island introduced an automated system. Afterwards, he worked for the Kewadin Casino until retirement.
Roy is survived by his mother, Carlene Marie Perrault (Fisher); his children along with their families, Raymon Perrault of Saint Ignace, Michigan, James Perrault of Saint Ignace, and Deborah Alkire of Kincheloe, Michigan; brothers, Bell Perrault Jr. of Saint Ignace, Brian (Denise) Perrault of Saint Ignace, and John Perrault of Saint Ignace; sisters, Marcella (Tony) Massey of Cheboygan, Michigan, Tina (Kevin) Evans of Saint Ignace, and Elenore Blackburn of Germany; grandchildren, Logan Lukehart, Tripp Alkire, Rayden Perrault, Fallon Perrault, and Joyanna Perrault; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Roy is preceded in death by his father, Bill Perrault Sr.; grandparents; and his sister, Sue Steele.
