Virginia Marion Moss

Virginia Marion Moss, age 86, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan died peacefully on September 28, 2021. She was born on March 24, 1935 in Drakesboro Kentucky to Connis and Elva (Robinson) Kelley.

Virginia grew up in Drakesboro Kentucky and later moved to Michigan where she embraced the great outdoors. Much of her down time was spent hiking and canoeing. She was well known in the Kennel Clubs in Michigan, where she regularly collected awards showing her beloved Bouviers.

Virginia married her Canadian soul mate Jack in 1983. Once she retired from Michigan Bell she moved from Escanaba, Michigan to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She spent countless hours planting and caring for the gardens, surrounding the log home built with her beloved Jack, and family and friends. Virginia and Jack shared many great times with their closest friends Jerry and Carolyn Collins and Doreen (late Jim) Gordon, and Karen Gordon with whom Virginia shared her love of unicorns.

Virginia was a longtime resident at McKinley Manor, and her family will be forever grateful for the kindness and compassion shown to her by her caregivers. They are the angels that stepped in, when she and her family were separated by borders.

Virginia is survived by her devoted stepson Neal Moss (Denise), Granddaughter Stephanie. Neal will always be grateful that he was able to spend special time with her in her last week of life.

Also survived by her stepchildren Lori Rose (Tim), Dan Moss (Monique) and grandchildren Christopher, Amanda, Micheal, Chanda, Chantal, Andrew, Veronica along with her great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved husband William “Jack”, her parents, her brother Thomas Kelley (late Mary Ellen), her stepdaughter Debbie Bruni (Pat), her brother-in-law Clarence Moss(late Doreen) and her fun loving cousin Al Sorrell(J R )with whom she shared many shenanigans.

In respecting Virginia’s wishes, her life will be celebrated enjoying a great meal with friends at a later date.
