Richard (Dick) E. Hank

Richard (Dick) E. Hank, age 85, of Cedarville, Michigan, passed away after a long battle with cancer on October 24th, 2021, with his loving wife by his side. Dick was born to the late Frank and Martha Hank of Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, on October 31st 1935.

Dick was a student of Sault High School and enjoyed a long career in the Sault after graduation. For 25 years, Dick was a service manager for Roe Chevrolet, he then transitioned to Chippewa Motors. He retired as a supervisor from Olofsson’s Fabrication.

Throughout his life, Dick enjoyed many hobbies such as: fishing, hunting, softball, bowling, skiing, and hockey. A big passion in Dick’s life was making maple syrup at Camp Thisisit, a family hunting cabin. He enjoyed spending time there with his family and friends and created many memories. During a night of dancing at the Albany Bar, Dick met the love of his life, Carolyn Millon. The pair celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on October 6th, 2021.

Dick is survived by his wife Carolyn; children, Richard (Michelle Anderson) Hank Jr., Timothy Hank, and Lisa (Mike) Townsend; grandchildren, Jocelyn (Cameron) Hoy, and Sydney Hank; great-grandchildren, Holden and Griffin Hoy; siblings, Walter (Fran-deceased) Hank, Jim (Marion) Hank, and Barbara (Jack) Mears.

Dick is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Martha Hank, and brothers, Ferdinand and Robert (Bobby) Hank.

Per Dick’s wishes, there will be no public services and a family memorial will be scheduled at a later date.
