Frances “Fran” Hank

Frances “Fran” Hank, age 76, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan passed away September 30, 2021 at her home.

Fran was born on July 28, 1945, to the late Claude and Eleanor (McFarland) Izzard. Fran was graduate of Sault High School with the class of 1963.  Fran and her husband, Walter saw a lot of our great country while traveling in their motorhome. 

Fran is survived by her husband Walter: whom she married on October 13, 1984, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; their children: Debra (Ed) Bowers of Superior, WI, Linda (Randy) Gerstner of Sagola, MI, Steven (Wendy) Hoornstra of South Range, WI, Scott Hoornstra of Traverse City, MI, Dennis Hank of Sault Ste. Marie, MI and Christina Smith of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and her siblings: Claude (Barbara) Izzard, Kenneth (Nora) Izzard, Beverly (Thomas) Trumbley, and Dale (Laura) Izzard.

Fran was preceded in death by her parents and first husband: Earl Hoornstra; and a brother: David Izzard.

Cremation has already taken place and according to Fran’s wishes, no services will be held.
