Steve Hammonds

Steve Edward Hammonds, 60, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan passed away Friday May 28, 2021, at MediLodge in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He was born February 2, 1961 in Gary, Indiana to Roy and Irene (Vincent) Hammonds.

Steve loved watching the Red Wings, fishing, and playing the guitar but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Steve is survived by his son, Steve (Janelle Clement) Bell of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; daughters, Amber Daniels of South Carolina, Marissa Mroczkowski of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, Mackenzie Sims of Boyne, Michigan, Madeline Sims of Boyne, Michigan; sisters, Sharon Hammonds of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, Kim (Jim) Gravelle of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; brothers, Roylee (Bonnie Hart) Hammonds, Bobby (Linda) Hammonds, Lee Lowrimore all of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; five grandchildren and many Aunt’s, Uncle’s, and Cousin’s. Steve is also survived by special friends, Julia Hinton and Melissa Glaser and he had a special bond with his Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins that loved him very much.

Steve is predeceased by his parents, Roy and Irene (Vincent) Hammonds; Stepdad, Daniel “Chuck” Bennett; and sister, Linda Hammonds.

Visitation Will be Monday June 7, 2021 from 10:00am until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00pm at Clark Hovie Galer Funeral Home, 113 Maple St. Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, 49783, with Father Nicholas Thompson officiating. Final resting place will be Lakeview Cemetery in Trout Lake, Michigan. Clark Hovie Galer Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
