Irene Margarette “Midge” Coe, age 89, of Charlevoix, Michigan, formerly of Rudyard, Michigan, died on February 14, 2020 in Charlevoix. She was born on May 8, 1930 in Denville, New Jersey, the youngest of four children to Donald John and Helen Elizabeth MacDonald.
Midge grew up in New Jersey until the age ten, when her family moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1940. She also lived in Livonia, Michigan, and Walled Lake, Michigan, before moving to Rudyard. She worked as a bank teller for Livonia national Bank and a bookkeeper for Walled Lake Eagles. She also worked for Sears. She married Daniel J O’Connell in 1948 and raised four sons. She married Donald R. Coe in 1981 and they retired to Rudyard Michigan Donald died in 2005.

Midge is survived by her sons, Daniel J (Nicole Paquette) O’Connell of Crysler, Ontario, Harold J. O’Connell of Onaway Michigan, and Keith (Lori) Coe of Linden, Michigan; five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Midge is preceded in death by her sons, Husband Daniel O’Connell Douglas “Neal” O’Connell and Leonard O’Connell; husband Donald Coe; brother, Donald MacDonald; sister June Hanna and sister Elinor Dygert.
