Stanley Robert Krackowski Sr., age 91, of Pickford, Michigan, died on October 16, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He was born on February 4, 1933, in Trenton, New Jersey, to Stanley and Josephine (Gelesky) Krackowski.

Stanley moved to Grand Marais, Michigan, and enlisted in the United States Air Force when he was seventeen years old. He served his country for fifteen years before being honorably discharged.

Stanley was a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).

Stanley enjoyed being a mechanic and working on everything from cars to CB radios. He also loved his dog and to fish in his spare time.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Hope “Ann” Krackowski; daughter, Rene Bieganowski (Michael) of Petoskey, Michigan; and son, Stanley Krackowski Jr. (Sonja) of Hessel, Michigan; grandchildren, Stanley Krackowski III, Monica Krackowski, Amy Bieganowski, Audrie Chapin (Ryan), Nicole Basenback (Bryan) and Adam Bieganowski (Tiffany); great-grandchildren, Maxwell Basenback and Roland Basenback.

Stanley was preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa Krackowski; parents, Stanley and Josephine; brother, Walt Krackowski; and half sister Fran Novack and half brother Joe Novack.

Per Stanley’s wishes, there will be no services held at this time.
