Obituary For Kyle Charles Dutcher

Kyle Charles Dutcher, age 46 passed away suddenly on September 29, 2026, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Born on January 25, 1980 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Kyle lived life in his own unforgettable way, leaving behind a lifetime of laughter, countless memories, and a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Kyle leaves behind his loving mother, Pamela (James) Wilkie; his sisters, Stacy (Mark) Kearns and Jillian (Davin) Salo, niece and nephews, Hadlee, Charlie and Cade. Kyle also left behind his devoted partner, Alisa Shudell, and stepson, Chase. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, lifelong friends and neighbors who were fortunate enough to share in his life and adventures.

Kyle was preceded in death by his father, Charles Collins; his grandparents, Edwin and Edith Dutcher; George and Betty Collins.

Kyle began his working career in landscaping before earning his commercial driver's license (CDL) in 2007. From there, he took to the open road, traveling across the country one load at a time. Along the way, he made lifelong friends and collected countless stories, always leaving a little piece of himself wherever his travels took him. A proud and devoted University of Michigan fan, Kyle never missed an opportunity to show his Wolverine pride. If you happened to be wearing the colors of the opposing team, you could count on Kyle to call you out with his signature, "GO BLUE!" His passion for the maize and blue
was unmistakable, and his playful rivalry was just another way he brought people together. When Kyle wasn't on the road, he loved being outdoors. Whether fishing, camping, enjoying water sports, or riding his beloved "lawnmower", he was happiest outside. And, of course, no gathering was complete without a bonfire. Kyle always needed the biggest fire possible, no
matter how much firewood stacked nearby. Somehow it was never enough! Even if it was the first day of camping! But what truly made Kyle special was his personality. He was the life of every gathering, the one cracking jokes, making everyone laugh, and giving just about everyone a nickname. Kyle had a special way with people. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, make a stranger feel like an old friend, turn an ordinary moment into a memory worth sharing. He loved being surrounded by people, and his humor, quick wit, and unmistakable presence made him someone
who was impossible to forget.

Kyle lived life with a big personality, a big heart, and a love for the people around him. His absence will leave a tremendous void in the lives of his family and friends, but the laughter he brought, the friendships he built, and the memories he created will live on forever. Though the road has come to an end for Kyle, the stories will continue, jokes will be retold, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone who loved him.

Rest easy, Kyle. You will be missed more than words can say and remembered with love, laughter, and a lifetime of stories. Until we meet again, keep the fires burning, the laughter going, and maize and blue flying high.

GO BLUE!
