SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing about $2.9 million for shoulder widening on M-28 from M-221 to I-75. The project also includes resurfacing the carpool lot at the I-75 interchange.
Motorists should expect single-lane closures on M-28 from M-221 to I-75. An 11-foot width restriction will be in place during the project.
Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 25 jobs.
