SAULT STE. MARIE – The Chippewa Luce Mackinac Conservation District (CLMCD) is excited to announce the 2026 Jane Bishop Memorial Native Plant & Garden Market. This highly anticipated community event will take place on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Sault Ste. Marie Market Corner, located at the intersection of Portage and Ashmun Streets.

The annual market serves as a vibrant hub for Upper Peninsula gardeners, conservationists, and community members looking to embrace biodiversity, support local agriculture, and enhance their local ecosystems. Named in honor of former Board Director, Jane Bishop, the event honors her lasting legacy of environmental stewardship. The event highlights the critical role native plants play in supporting local pollinators, improving soil health, and maintaining the natural beauty of the region.

Attendees will have the opportunity to browse a diverse selection of regional flora and unique local goods from an impressive lineup of 2026 vendors, including:

Northern Natives Plant Nursery, Three Shores CISMA, Sault Tribe Natural Resources Division, Chippewa County 4-H, Allan Acres Highland Cattle, Kimber’s Farm & Creations, Curious Homestead, P.S. Gardens, Kathy’s Cut Flowers, Raynard Maple Farm, Karl’s Cuisine at Wildwood Farm, Jayne Roohr Furs, and Mina Curtis. Food and refreshments will be provided by Willy’s Dunn Right Food Truck.
