PRESQUE ISLE COUNTY, MI. In January 2025, the Michigan State Police (MSP) Alpena Post was
contacted regarding a sexual assault complaint. It was reported that the alleged assaults occurred in
Rogers City over a span of several months. During the investigation, detectives identified the suspect as
65-year-old Theodore Beck from Rogers City. The investigation was submitted to the Presque Isle County Prosecutor’s Office for review and Beck was ultimately charged.
Beck was arraigned on May 19, 2025, in the 89 th District Court in Presque Isle County on four counts of
Criminal Sexual Conduct (CSC) Fourth Degree (force or coercion) for the original case.
Since Beck’s arraignment on the original CSC charges, an additional person reported being victimized by
Beck. Detectives submitted their supplemental findings to the Presque Isle County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
The prosecutor’s office charged Beck with three additional counts of CSC Fourth Degree (force or
coercion). Beck was arraigned on February 3. His next court appearance is on February 24 at 10:30 a.m.
