Bomb Threat in Cheboygan County

CHEBOYGAN, MI – On Saturday, Central Dispatch in Cheboygan County received a phone call at 6:02 pm reporting a bomb threat at Andy’s Party Store.

Upon receiving the report, an immediate investigation was initiated. Cheboygan County Law enforcement quickly established a perimeter around the premises, and Michigan State Police (MSP) Bomb Squad was requested to assist with the investigation.

The MSP Bomb Squad conducted a thorough search of the area, including a visit from the MSP K9 Unit from the St. Ignace MSP post. After a comprehensive sweep, nothing suspicious was located, and the scene was declared safe.

Authorities extend their sincere Thanks to the Inverness Fire Department, Cheboygan City Police Department, and Cheboygan County Life Support Services for their professional assistance at the scene.
