OTSEGO COUNTY, MI. On June 12, 2025, at approximately 8:10 p.m., troopers from the Michigan State
Police (MSP) Gaylord Post were dispatched to a shooting at a residence in Hayes Township, Otsego
County.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a 64-year-old resident of the home had been shot
and was deceased. The 70-year-old suspect, also a resident of the home, remained on scene and was
taken into custody by the responding troopers.
The suspect was lodged at the Otsego County Jail without incident.
