Marquette County, Michigan. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Negaunee Post is announcing
the arrest of 34-year-old Gerald Burton of Ishpeming following multiple investigations into
alleged criminal sexual conduct.
On April 23, 2025, Burton was arraigned in the 96th District Court on two counts of Criminal
Sexual Conduct in the First Degree. Following the arraignment, his bond was set at two
thousand dollars ($2,000).
On April 25, 2025, Burton appeared again in the 96th District Court for a second arraignment on
additional charges stemming from a separate investigation. These charges included one count
of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the First Degree and two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct in
the Fourth Degree. His bond was again set at two thousand dollars ($2,000). Burton is next due
in court on May 14, 2025.
MSP believes there may be other victims, witnesses, or individuals with additional information.
