Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s book – part memoir, part handbook – officially becomes available Tuesday, and Whitmer announced Monday she will be traveling to several states to promote “True Gretch.”
Whitmer started by visiting Schuler Books in Okemos on Monday to sign copies that will be available Tuesday.
She also visited Literati Bookstore in Ann Arbor to sign copies that will be available Tuesday.
Starting Sunday, Whitmer will head to the west coast with stops in Seattle on July 14, Santa Monica, California on July 15 and San Francisco on July 16. Whitmer will do some instate promotion in Chelsea on July 22 and then the Michigan State University campus with former Governor Jim Blanchard.
The governor then heads to the east coast, with a stop at the Martha’s Vineyard Book Festival on July 27 and in Washington, D.C., on July 30. Then Whitmer will promote the book at the National Writers Series event in Traverse City on July 31.
The account on X, formerly known as Twitter, promoting “True Gretch” said there will be Michigan bookstore promotions throughout July.
