Pauline Margaret Armstrong, age 85, of Sault Ste. Marie, MI passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at the Hospice of the EUP – Hospice House.
Pauline was born in St. Clair, MI on August 2, 1937, to the late Isadore and Christine Posey. She graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1955. In May 1967, she married Barry Armstrong in Port Huron, MI. Pauline worked at the Mole Hole for over 30 years and volunteered for Hospice of the EUP for more than 20 years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, and making Rosaries to give away to her friends. She was a fabulous baker who was known for her pie crust and biscotti.
Pauline is survived by three children: Juliana (Roderic Gerlach) Gullo of Houston, TX, Mark (Lori) Armstrong of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, and Vanessa (Norm) Sharpe of Wallaceburg, ONT; 12 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother: Joe (Gail) Posey of St. Clair, MI; and 4 sisters: Dene Posey of Algonac, MI, Judy Tucker of Pensacola, FL, Betty (Mike) Arsulowicz of Grand Rapids, MI, and Katy (Rusty) Windham of Clewiston, FL.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two children: Monica Johnson and Vincent Armstrong; and a sister: Mary Stringer.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 12:00 (noon) on December 7th at Saint Isaac Jogues Catholic Church 1529 Marquette Ave, Sault Sainte Marie, MI 49783. Following services, please join us in sharing memories and stories along with refreshments provided by Franks Place and parish members, served in the Church Hall.
