George Luther Braley, age 79, of Sault Ste. Marie, MI passed away on early Friday morning, September 23, 2022.
George was born on April 25, 1943, in Newberry, Michigan to the late Samuel and Velma (Blankenship) Braley. He was a graduate of Newberry High School with the class of 1961. George was involved in genealogy studies at the library. For many years, he worked as the manager of the snack bar at Walmart. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and coin collecting. George’s life work was his family tree. He spent countless hours on the family genealogy.
George is survived by his children: Kenneth (Carissa) Braley of Grand Haven, MI and Suzette (Dan) Ward of Bay City, MI; four grandchildren Gabrielle, Caleb, Noah and Ammy.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at C.S. Mulder Funeral Home. Friends may gather that day from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the Arbor Day Foundation.
