James Charles “Jim” Scott, Sr., age 75, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan passed away at his home on December 29, 2021. Jim was born on May 24, 1946, in Goodland, MI the son of the late Joseph and Alma “Elenor” (Sullivan) Scott. On September 23, 1967, he married Laura Rose McKay in Imlay City, in Lapeer County, MI. They were happily married for 54 years. He was a member of the Mikado Goodfellows and the Eagles for many years. He enjoyed watching trains, riding his motorcycle, watching NASCAR on TV, going fishing, and working on cars. Years ago his CB handle was “Rusty Ranger”.
James is survived by his wife: Laura Rose Scott; by his son: James Charles (Kelly) Scott III; two grandchildren: Courtney Rose (Cory) McDonald and Tyler (Jennifer Schultz) Heckathorn-Scott; three great-grandchildren: Sophia, Emma, and Amelia; and many nieces and nephews.James was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter: Dawn Louise Scott; and two brothers: Russell and Donald Scott. No public services will be held at this time. Arrangements are in the care of C.S. Mulder Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
