The Shop with a Hero Program will again be held at Walmart of Sault Ste. Marie on Thursday (12/16/2021) with start times also varying between 5:00 and 7:00 pm. Travis, Tyler, and staff of Walmart coordinate with Tpr. Mayer, Ms. Stempky, and local law enforcement to host 45 children, assisting them with their holiday shopping. Funding for this event is being provided through a Walmart Community Grant and by a generous donation from Eastern Upper Peninsula Title. EUP Title staff collected donations through company dress down days and their contribution was matched by the company.
The Shop with A Hero program pairs our local “Heroes” with children to not only shop for holiday treasure but to share positive interactions and create bonds that last throughout the holidays and the many years to come.
This program would not be possible without the magnanimous grants and donations provided by Walmart, Meijer, and EUP Title. We are grateful for their kindness and support.
