Charles Eli Parish Jr, 75, of Bay Mills, Michigan passed away on December 26, 2021

Charles was born on May 25, 1946, In Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to the late Charles and Shirley Parish. Charles was a graduate of Brimley High School. He then entered the US Navy March 1966 and was honorably discharged in March of 1970, earning the national defense service medal, Vietnam Service medal with 3 bronze stars, combat action ribbon, republic of Vietnam campaign medal, and the navy until commendation. Then after leaving the navy Charles was a commercial fisherman and then dredged for a while. Then he went back to commercial fishing for several years. Once leaving fishing he worked at Bay Mills gas station, then was a dispatcher for the Bay Mills police department. After leaving those jobs he was a doorman at Kewadin Casino, then for 20 years he was a Security Officer at Bay Mills Resort and Casino and Kings Club. He loved fishing, spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. He also loved going to the casino and all- around having fun. He was a friend and loved by many.

Charles is survived by his wife of 45 years Diane Parish: His step children Kenny and Amy Heyrman of Munising, MI; Donald Robert and Wendy Heyrman of Bay Mills, MI; Grandchildren: Kenneth (Star) Heyrman; Samantha Lyons (Jeff Sims); Megan Vandermissen (Andy); Catalina Heyrman; DJ Heyrman; Marcus Carrick; Madison Carrick; Liberty Heyrman; Gabe Heyrman; Maxwell Heyrman; Mela Heyrman and Ryan McCall-Teeple; Great grandchildren: Special buddy Matthew Teeple; Ariel Teeple; Skyelan Heyrman; and Scarlett Sims; and his sisters-in-law: Dona (Roger) Sager; Betty (Pat) Briggs; Mary (David) Simpson; Barb (Late Dallas) Clute; and June Pratt. He also had several nieces and nephews, cousins and is survived by his Aunt Marie; brother Joe Parish.

Precceded in death by his mom and dad, brother Corky, several aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 30th, 2021, at C.S Mulder funeral home located 4951 M-129, Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Visitation will be from 10am-11am with a service at 11am. Lunch to follow at the senior center in Bay Mills, MI.
