Rudyard advances to first quarterfinal since 2010

The Rudyard Bulldogs boys’ basketball team advanced to their first quarterfinal since 2010, as they had a convincing, 85-49 victory over Alanson in the Division 4, Regional 26 final from Pellston, on Thursday night.

EJ Suggitt led all scorers for Rudyard with 27 points, and surpassed 1000 career points as a Bulldog. Gannon Smith poured in 18 points for Rudyard, Austin Warner had 12, Tate Besteman added 10. You can hear the podcast of the game at Rudyard vs Alanson.

Rudyard (17-2) will meet Carney-Nadeau on Tuesday at Sault Ste. Marie in the quarterfinals.  You can hear that game on Country 105, or online at country105fm.net, with Scott Nason and Ray Bell, starting with the pregame show at 6:45 pm.
