How to get a Clyde’s Drive-In burger this weekend

SAULT STE. MARIE, MI — Need a reminder that summer is on the way?

Or maybe you want to surprise that special someone with a not-so-fancy Valentine’s Day gift in an oh-so-tasty Upper Peninsula destination?

You’re in luck!

Legendary U.P. burger hot spot Clyde’s Drive-In, which has been around since 1949, will open for five days this week, Feb. 12-16, 2020.

“It’s something we look forward to every year,” said owner Bob Spencer when we talked to him last year while making a quick stop on our search for Michigan’s Best Diner.

Located next to the Sugar Island Ferry dock on Riverside Drive in Sault Ste. Marie, Clyde’s will be open from 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. each day and will feature a limited menu. But you’re sure to get the signature 1/4-pound burger as well as the Big C, which is three of those patties stacked to perfection.

If you have questions, you can call them at 906-632-2581.

If you’re wondering about the St. Ignace location, fans can also get their fill of Clyde’s on Saturday at the annual Clyde’s night during the Pond Hockey tournament at the VFW. Take out also is available.
