Robert Charles Ash, age 51, of Newberry, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on August 28, 2026. He was born on September 24, 1974, in Newberry, Michigan.

Robert, known as “Bobby” to his family and friends, was a dedicated truck driver for J.B. Hunt. He was proud of his work and continued driving throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and until the time of his passing. His commitment to his job was a testament to his strong work ethic and dedication.

Bobby was a graduate of Newberry High School. He will be remembered and missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Schneider (Otto); brother, Pastor B.J. Ash (Kelly); nephews, Brandon and Alex Ash of Thompson, Michigan; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Ash; maternal grandparents, Charles and June Jerrick; paternal grandparents, Charles and Hazel Ash; and aunt, Carol Jerrick.

Cremation has taken place. In accordance with Bobby’s wishes, no service will be held.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by those who knew and cared for him.
