Patricia Catherine Deuman, age 73, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, passed away on September 30, 2026, at Ball Hospice House in Sault Ste. Marie. She was born on October 21, 1952, in Sault Ste. Marie to John and Dorothy (LaFaver) Murphy.

Patricia grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and graduated from Loretto High School. Throughout her life, she worked in a variety of positions, from restaurants to supervisory and management roles in manufacturing facilities. She later joined the Motor Pool Department at Kewadin Casino, where she worked for many years and ultimately completed her career.

As a young girl, Patricia was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Later in life, she attended services at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church.

Patricia loved camping with her family, especially in the fall when the leaves changed colors and she could listen to the waves crashing on the beach. Cooking was one of her greatest passions. No one ever left her home hungry, as she was always eager to prepare something to eat. She also loved playing bingo and looked forward to it every week.

Above all, Patricia cherished time spent with her family. Although she never had the opportunity to be a grandmother, she proudly embraced the role of Nana to Paityn McKechnie and Teagan Walcher. Whether they were sharing a simple activity or a special occasion, Patricia treasured every moment with them and eagerly anticipated their next visit.

Patricia is survived by her children, Robert LaMothe and Shawn Deuman, both of Sault Ste. Marie; sisters, Peggy Malport, Teri Romano, and Lori Murphy; and many nieces and nephews.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Deuman; parents, John and Dorothy; and sisters, Saralyn Clerc, Barbra Christie, and Pam Synett.

Patricia was a good ole girl and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In accordance with Patricia's wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details regarding the date, time, and location will be announced when available.
