Gloria Jean Stark, Age 84, died in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, on October 12th, 2026. Gloria was born on September 23rd, 1942 in Battle Creek, Michigan to parents Joseph and Genevieve Noga.

Gloria graduated from Climax Scotts High School in Climax, Michigan. Gloria married her childhood sweetheart, William E. Stark in 1969. They raised their daughters and spent most of their married life in Troy, Michigan, followed by fifteen years of sunshine in Florida. A lover of animals throughout her life, she and her family had a fondness for cats (especially gray ones). She also traveled around the country showing her Siberian Huskies and Beagles. Gloria was an avid euchre player and had a keen interest in current events. Friends appreciated her quick mind and unwavering conviction. A Civil War enthusiast, she was well-versed in the conflict; reading, studying, and visiting battlefields over many years. She was also a dedicated Detroit Lions fan through thick and thin!

Gloria is survived by her daughters Laura (Stephen), Jennifer and Theresa; Grandchildren, Edward (Rie), Victoria (Colbert), Brooks, Owen, Audrey, and Cecilia; and great-grand children Genevieve, William, Yoshi, Nathaniel, and Remy.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, William Stark and her brother Henry and sisters Dorothy and Natalie.

Family and Friends are invited to attend the All Saints’ Day service at Mariners’ Church of Detroit at 170 E Jefferson Ave, Detroit, Michigan on November 1st, 2026 at 11:00 am, where Gloria will be remembered.
