Adam George Mills, age 43, of Brimley, Michigan, entered eternal life on September 15, 2026. He was born on November 20, 1982, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Ronald and Theresa (Piche) Mills.

Adam was a 2002 graduate of Sault Area High School. From an early age, he was a volunteer EMS and firefighter, where he earned the nickname “The Rib Cracker”. Adam graduated from Bays Mills Community College with a certificate in Criminal Justice. In 2015, he started his dream career as a correctional officer. Adam worked at URF from 2015 until late 2021, and most recently, he was a maintenance technician for U-Haul.

Adam was known for wearing his heart on his sleeve and making sure the people he loved were taken care of. He put everyone else’s needs before his own. His sense of humor was amazing and unforgettable. Even on your darkest days, Adam could put a smile on your face. From his wild shirts to the sticker on the back of his big ol’ Dodge Ram, he always knew how to make you shake your head and grin.

Adam leaves behind many family members and friends who loved him deeply and are saddened by his passing. He would want us to remember the good times, laugh, be sarcastic like he was, love with a full heart, enjoy life to the fullest, and never take anyone for granted.

Adam’s wish for afterlife was to be cremated, and he would make sure to tell anyone who would listen, “I am gonna be cremated so Megs can use me as chili powder, and I can tear that ass up one more time!” That is the saying that will never be forgotten, along with many other sayings that made Adam uniquely Adam.

Adam, you are loved by so many and will be forever missed. You are now watching over and protecting all the ones you love.

Adam is survived by his wife, Megan Mills; son, Chase (Zoey) Mills; daughter, Paisley Mills; four step-sons, Zavier (Abby), Hunter (Cheyenne), Spencer, and Fischer; two beautiful grandchildren, Oliver Lynn and Evelyn Irene; parents, Ron and Theresa; sisters, Jennifer (Troy) Jorgenson and Suzanne (Mike) Carrick; nieces, Mazi (Jordan) Jorgenson and Halli (Calvin) Jorgenson; and nephew, Spencer Carrick.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday November 20, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Superior Township Hall, 7049 M-221, Brimley, MI 49715.
