Today is National Police Woman Day, celebrated to recognize the courage, leadership and contributions of female law enforcement officers throughout the country.
The DNR is proud of the women who serve throughout its ranks and in every district of the state as conservation officers.
Some of the many, recent accomplishments, include:
- CO Anna Cullen, Muskegon County, was honored Wednesday as the Michigan Waterfowl Officer of the Year by the Mississippi Flyway Council.
- In August, CO Lisa Taube, Livingston County, biked 360 miles in four days, from Stevensville to Petoskey as part of the Michigan Police Unity Team.
- Huldah Neal, the first-ever woman CO, will be inducted this year into the Michigan Women’s Hall of Fame.
