ALANSON, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against
Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Steven Randall Maki, 34 of Alanson, for
aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, possession of child sexually abusive material,
and using a computer to commit a crime.
Maki was arrested following an investigation which was initiated when it was discovered Maki was viewing child sexually abusive material on the internet. Digital evidence was seized from Maki.
Maki was charged with one count of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, one count
of possession of child sexually abusive material, and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime.
Maki was arraigned in the 90th Judicial District Court on Wednesday, February 18.
The MSP Computer Crimes Unit encourages parents to speak to their children about the safe use of the
