Sault Ste. Marie, MI – Chippewa Luce Mackinac Community Action Agency (CLMCAA) is proud to
announce its annual Walk for Warmth event, set to take place on Saturday, October 4th, 2025. This
year’s event is generously sponsored by Albert Heating & Cooling, Inc., with support from local
community members and businesses.
The Walk for Warmth event is designed to raise funds and awareness for families in need of heating
assistance during the cold winter months. As the weather turns colder, many families in our
community struggle to keep their homes warm, and this event plays a crucial role in providing the
necessary support to ensure their safety and comfort.
“We are thrilled to have Albert Heating & Cooling, Inc. as our main sponsor AGAIN this year,” said
Mike Decker, Weatherization Director. “Their commitment to helping our community stay warm and
safe is truly inspiring.” Thanks to the funds raised from last year’s event, CLMCAA has doubled the
amount of assistance from last year to 121 families demonstrating the need in our community.
Participants of all ages are invited to join the walk, which starts and ends in the Atrium of Avery
Square and follow a short route through downtown Sault Ste. Marie. Registration begins at 10:30
am, and the walk will kick off at 11 am. Refreshments and chili will be available for participants after
the walk, provided by CLMCAA’s Senior Services Department.
In addition to monetary donations, CLMCAA is seeking in-kind donations to create gift baskets for
drawings at the event. Local businesses and individuals are encouraged to contribute items that can
be included. Details about the contributing businesses will be posted on clmcaa.com.

helps us provide essential heating assistance to those in need.”
