A Man Walks Into the Police Station and asks for help…

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, at approximately 3:45 p.m., a male subject entered the
Sault Ste. Marie Police Department and asked for help. Sault Fire Ambulance responded
and transported the male to the hospital.

Officers were granted a search warrant for the residence, and the conditions of the home
did not appear fit for human occupancy. Sault Ste. Marie Fire Department and Code
Enforcement Officer were contacted. After further inspection, the residence was declared
unsafe for human occupancy due to unsanitary conditions and structural concerns. A notice
was posted prohibiting entry into the residence.

Officers were able to determine that a 38-year-old male, a 38-year-old female, and a 19-
year-old male were residing in the home prior to the no-occupancy notice being posted.

We are aware of a rumor that a person was being held captive at this residence. At this
time, we have not found any information to support this.

We are currently conducting an ongoing investigation. Further information may be released
at a later date.

No charges have been filed at this time. All individuals are presumed innocent unless and
until proven guilty in a court of law.
