Man Arrested in Fatal Hit and Run

EMMET COUNTY, MI. On Monday, August 5, 2024, at approximately 7:20 a.m. a 48-year-old woman
from Colorado was struck and killed while jogging on the shoulder of south bound US-31 near Luce Road.

She was struck by a black 2013-2017 Dodge pickup truck that fled the scene. The truck has front-end damage, and the grill was located at the scene.

The vehicle was located by law enforcement at a local business. The driver, a 25-year-old man from
Cheboygan, was taken into custody.
