Dorothy Ann Larrabee, age 75, of Drummond Island, Michigan, died in her home on August 19, 2022. She was born in Elmhurst, Illinois, on January 4, 1947, to Robert V. and Minnie E. (Bristol) Larrabee.
Dorothy moved to Drummond Island in 1986 after her mother fell ill and remained there ever since. The Lighthouse Christian Church built her a home in 2007 and turned the keys over to her. She loved her home and her many beloved pets. After retiring as a school bus driver, she enjoyed senior citizens lunches and the graciousness of her many friends.
Dorothy was a caring and spiritual person. She prayed for her family and friends’ happiness and overall good health in her last years. She would say that the list of people she prayed for was long, especially taking care to pray for those who were alone or forgotten. She also loved nature and animals.
Dorothy is survived by her sisters, Vivienne Seaman of Drummond Island, and Ellen Whiteside of Illinois.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Minnie (1988) and Robert (2001) Larrabee; and her two brothers, Milton (2016) and Wendell (2020).
