Virginia Lee (Kisro) Young, age 78, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died peacefully in her sleep on June 30, 2026, at MyMichigan Medical Center - Sault. She was born on July 10, 1947, in Newberry, Michigan, to William and Nellie (Dalton) Kisro.

Virginia grew up in Newberry and graduated from Newberry High School. She married Roger Young and devoted herself to caring for her home and family. From 1965 until 2000, they made their home in Hamtramck, Michigan, before returning to Sault Ste. Marie.

Virginia adored her beloved Chihuahua, Princess, who was her faithful companion for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed working on puzzles and was an avid fan of ‘The Price Is Right’, rarely missing an episode.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Marie (Don) Iser of Ortonville, Michigan; grandchildren, Michael (Amy) Young, Britney Young, Nichole Young, Roger Young, and Ashley Young; great-grandchildren, Silas Young and Kaine Young; and sister, Bertha (Kenneth) Lewis of Newberry.

Virginia was preceded by her husband, Roger Sr.; son, Roger “Bucky” A. Young Jr.; brother, Leon Kisro; and sisters, Elain Berry and Violet Pedrin.

Per Virginia’s wishes, no services will be held.

Virginia’s final resting place is at Wilwalk Cemetery on Sugar Island, Michigan.
